In March 2022, Western Australia implemented new Work Health and Safety (WHS) laws that recognise psychological health as equally important as physical safety in the workplace. Psychological Safety at Work is a practical course designed to help employers, managers, and employees understand their legal obligations and foster mentally healthy work environments.

This course explores key principles of psychological safety, identifies common psychosocial hazards, and outlines strategies to prevent and manage workplace risks. Participants will gain clarity on the new legal framework, learn how to create supportive team cultures, and understand how to meet their duty of care under WA’s WHS legislation.


Managers, supervisors, and other professionals who are required to understand and implement the legislation in the workplace, as well as seeking to build trust, reduce harm, and comply with the latest workplace health standards.


At the end of this Psychological Safety at Work course, participants will be able to;

  • Understand the WHS Act & Regulations as it relates to psychological safety
  • Identify psychosocial hazards in the workplace
  • Explore the stages of psychological safety
  • Create steps towards psychological safety in the workplace
